Skydio Teardown: Behind the Flying Robot
Skydio is building the software, hardware, and AI systems that make autonomous flight work in the real world. Our drones operate every day in complex, high-stakes environments across public safety, energy/utilities, defense, and critical infrastructure, and the underlying technology is rapidly evolving.
We’re bringing together a small group of deeply technical, hands-on engineers and prospective future teammates for an in-person engineering event at Skydio’s San Mateo HQ.
This is both a technical deep dive and a recruiting event. You’ll hear directly from the engineers and leaders building Skydio’s core systems, get hands-on with the products and technology powering autonomous flight, and hear about the kinds of problems our teams are solving across autonomy, AI, robotics, cloud software, hardware, wireless systems, and real-time operations.
This is not a high-level overview. The day is designed for a highly technical audience interested in understanding how Skydio builds autonomous systems at scale, and for engineers who may be interested in joining us as we continue to grow.
Space is limited to ensure a small, focused group with meaningful interaction throughout the day. All registrations will be reviewed and are subject to approval. Approved attendees will receive an email with further details.
Agenda:
4:00 - 5:30 PM | Arrival + Hands-On Flight Demos
5:30 - 6:30 PM | Mainstage Programming + Technical Deep Dives
6:30 - 8:00 PM | Networking + Interactive Stations + Lab Tours
Drinks and lite bites to be served throughout.
*Skydio’s video production team will be capturing photo and video content during the event. Attendees are welcome to take photos and videos during the drone demos, keynote and technical deep dive sessions. We kindly ask that no photos or videos be taken during the open house or lab tours.
