Small UAS Innovation Day

^{The war in Ukraine has highlighted the importance of emerging drone technologies in defending against military aggression. The Department of Defense is emphasizing the role of "attritable, autonomous systems" in the United States' deterrence and defense efforts and the Replicator initiative aims to deploy thousands of these systems in various domains within the next 18-24 months. These smaller drones and AI-enabled systems are not only cost-effective but can also be produced closer to the tactical edge and can operate with limited bandwidth.}

You’re invited to join us to explore the strategic needs of government agencies, discovering specific use cases already deployed in and refined in the field, and dive into the next generation of technologies poised to support these critical missions.

Key Takeaways:

Strategic needs of government agencies in utilizing small UAS

How small UAS are reshaping national law enforcement, disaster response, border security and protection of critical infrastructure

How small UAS can power advancements in everything from electricity grid assessments to forensic analysis and evidence documentation

Using small UAS for EOD and forensic analysis, and infrastructure / asset inspections

Speaker Highlights:

Peter W. Singer - Strategist and Senior Fellow at New America

Ralph "Quinn" Palmer - Assistant Chief, U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Major Michael O'Connor - U.S. Space Force & Department of the Air Force Fellow at Georgetown's Center for Security and Emerging Technologies (CSET)

Lt. Gen. Clinton Hinote (Ret. USAF) - first leader of Air Force Futures
